Oasis to Roskilde FESTIVAL 2009
They have been a much requested act by Roskilde's audience all the way up through the 00s – so the festival is very happy to finally welcome the iconic brothers and their entourage back to Roskilde for the first time since 1995.
OASIS (UK) is perhaps the most popular rock'n'roll band in the UK. They have sold over 50 million albums worldwide. The band's two frontline figures, Liam and Noel Gallagher, have become almost as big icons as their two idols, John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
The Beatles’ music is the main inspiration in Oasis’ guitar-driven Brit rock – and with ”Wonderwall”, ”Live Forever” and ”Cigarettes & Alcohol”, the band has delivered contributions to rock history, which will stand side by side with the bigwigs for many years into the future.
